We are the Solar Pirates. We proudly represent the first team from New York City and the only team in New York State to participate in the Winston Solar Car Challenge. Our goal is for this year is to build a new carbon fiber / kevlar car. Although this goal seems unachievable for high school students, with the right mind set and commitment, anything is possible. The work done on our previous solar car, our new solar car, as well as this very website, is done completely by students, with the help and supervision from our teachers Mr. Dazzo, Mr. D'Ambrosio, and Mr. Giordano.
